Privacy, terms, safe use and support

Adults 18+

Pillobi is currently for adults aged 18 and older, including adult caregivers. We store your age-range answer locally without collecting a birth date. The app is not offered for independent use by children or teens.

No account needed

Your routine and history stay on this device. There is no Pillobi login or cloud account to delete. Apple manages purchases through your Apple Account. Restore purchases restores Plus access, not your routine.

Privacy

The iPhone routine database is encrypted. Pillobi saves the fields you confirm, but does not keep the label photo or raw transcription in your routine. Temporary camera/photo files and a small widget summary may be stored in the app’s private storage. Notifications and widgets hide medicine details unless you turn on “Names outside the app.” Browser previews use browser storage and should use sample data only.

With your permission, bottle photos go to our hosted scanner and Google Gemini for transcription. They can contain health information. Cover personal details first. Our scanner processes photos in memory without saving them to its database. Google may retain requests and responses for abuse monitoring under its service terms. Withdraw photo-sharing permission in Settings; manual entry remains available.

Search terms and product barcodes go to our scanner and product databases operated by the FDA and NIH. Searches may be cached temporarily. Hosting providers process technical request data, such as IP addresses and request URLs, for operations and security. Scan counters prevent abuse; they are not a cloud copy of your routine. When verified scanning is enabled, Apple and Google check that a request comes from the Pillobi app. A random install ID is kept on your phone; our server stores its hash with scan counts and reset dates. Reinstalling may create a new ID. This does not identify a person or sync a routine.

Pillobi checks Expo’s update service for compatible app fixes. Expo receives technical connection and app-version information to deliver updates. Your routine and bottle photos are not included in these update requests.

Apple processes payments; we do not receive your card details. Pillobi has no advertising, session replay, marketing email, or product analytics SDK. We do not sell your routine or use it for targeted advertising.

Settings lets you export confirmed routine details and logs without label photos or raw scan text. You can also delete your local routine and revoke AI permission. Deletion clears local logs, app photo caches, reminders, and the widget summary. It does not delete exports you shared, photos in your Photos library, Apple purchase records, device backups, or provider security records. Deleting data does not cancel a subscription.

Use Pillobi safely

Pillobi helps you record a routine; it does not diagnose, prescribe, verify that a medicine is safe for you, or replace a clinician or pharmacist. Product matches, AI readings and educational summaries may be wrong, incomplete or outdated. Confirm the name, strength, dose and directions on your current label before saving. Follow your prescriber’s instructions. Do not change or double a dose based on this app.

Reminders depend on device settings and may be delayed or missed. Keep a backup for time-critical medicines. Logging “Taken” records your action; it does not verify ingestion. Pillobi is not an emergency service. In an emergency call 911; in the US, Poison Control is 1-800-222-1222.

Subscriptions & terms

One active pill is free. Plus allows additional pills. Apple shows the final price and billing period before purchase. Plans renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal. Manage or cancel through Apple subscriptions. Canceling prevents future renewal; Apple handles refund requests. No trial is promised unless Apple explicitly offers one.
